Johannesburg based Deon de Lange loves working with his hands and considers himself a maker working with diverse media.

Equal parts eccentric and consummate creative, he channels his relentless passion into everything he does. Every product manufactured is approached intelligently, communicated creatively and crafted with care. He looks at design with a fun, artistic, and inventive twist. To him design is a way to determine how things function, not just how they look.

Better known for his ceramic work, concrete is his current medium of choice. The brutality and honesty of the medium benefits from his skills acquired over many years, referencing to techniques acquired from other disciplines. Deon embraces the limitations of every medium he works in, yet still manages to push boundaries.

Apart from boutique stores across South Africa, Deon’s work have also been showcased in Europe and the USA.
